I realize it’s been a while since I’ve shared my personal work with you, especially when it comes to the new things I’m working on. Here is a sneak peak at a poem I just completed…
I started this poem as I do most every poem or lyric I write – in my journal. I used to have stacks of loose papers, old restaurant menus, napkins, note pads… basically anything that was around me at the moment I’d get a new idea. Then, after what I’m sure accumulated to days and weeks of my life looking for things, I finally decided to get organized. Or, that is, more organized.
A fun way to start your Saturday! This little guy has been a character in one of the children’s books I’ve been working on. Just to clarify, I probably won’t be illustrating the book myself, but it’s been a fun visual for me as I write. It was fun to incorporate him once again in the short poem below.
Wishing you a great weekend and may you dare to leave “The Box”!
