Yay, my son’s quilt is done! He’s been waiting, and waiting for this… at least, he was.
He used to tell everyone how excited he was to be getting his very own quilt (His cousin got one for Christmas). But then, somewhere along the way, maybe around month 5 or 6, I think he lost hope…
The last time I pulled out my Teflon skillets, I noticed the non-stick coating had begun to peel. I have many reasons for turning my back on Teflon since then, but to stay on topic, I’ll just say a replacement was needed. So, I went with the best non-stick, durable, life-lasting option I had… cast iron!
I’ve begun the task of designing our little man’s bedroom.
To be honest, I started it months ago.
I got as far as painting the base color.
We’ve been asked a few times what theme we’re going with: Trains? Noah’s Ark? Animals? Boats?… With so many possibilities, I needed to organize my ideas. So, I created an inspiration board.
Merry Christmas everyone! As we celebrate today, I wanted to take a moment to share why I celebrate a day like today. I understand not everyone will agree with me as we come from many different backgrounds and religious viewpoints. But, for me and my family, Christmas is all about a God.
With recent tragedies in our own country, I’m reminded all the more why today is so important. Christmas is the day we celebrate God seeing our hurt, pain and suffering and offered us an alternative. He could have left us to our own destruction and hopelessness, but, the great news is – he didn’t.
I hope everyone’s having a wonderful Christmas Eve and enjoying some well-earned rest and family time!
Tonight, we’ll be heading to church with the family, then, home for games, snacks and hot apple cider. Do you have a family tradition?
For this next DIY, I wanted to share something simple and fun that you can use as an accent on a side table or desk. My friends taught me how to make these at our Christmas craft night.
