My Box – Original Art

A fun way to start your Saturday! This little guy has been a character in one of the children’s books I’ve been working on. Just to clarify, I probably won’t be illustrating the book myself, but it’s been a fun visual for me as I write. It was fun to incorporate him once again in the short poem below.

Wishing you a great weekend and may you dare to leave “The Box”!

A long-time friend, Micah Yost, founder of Thrive Development Group, recently directed my attention to an article on venturebeat.com about a recent study conducted by Adobe. Pieces – Original Art

Title: Pieces Medium: oil on canvas Artist: Erin Melenbacker An exploration of color and blending. I’ve been told my choice of framing for this image is odd and have been asked “Why not put the blue piece in a frame as well?” and “Why is it not lined up with the rest?” For the answer [...]

Studio Inspiration…Dreams from a Laundry Room

I’ve been looking to creating a more dedicated space in our home for my art and I have yet to find that perfect spot for the different mediums I work in. For now, I have been ping-ponging around to different rooms throughout the house while I discover what’s missing in each. Currently, I’m working from [...]
