I LOVE this time of year – when the leaves turn various shades of yellow and red, and there’s a crisp feeling in the air! This year, we celebrated with a little friendly competition, carving pumpkins!
Pumpkin seeds were flying,
outdoor heaters were cranked,
and the power tools were at full strength!
Yep, POWER TOOLS!
As we work to move forward with our adoption, it seems an endless road of paper-cuts and legal documents. Something about the idea of our child being out there somewhere just makes me want to bring them home all the more! The result? I’ve been completely invested in moving this process along as fast as possible and lately, this has equated to me finding myself buried under a pile of papers.
I love the symbolism in this form of art! It’s a great visual reminder that none of us have everything it takes to be our best selves…
