We’re on to our second fundraiser and if you’re anywhere near Kearney, NE on June 9th, this is one you won’t want to miss! You may/may not know that I spent a good deal of my childhood in North Carolina. It’s where I attended elementary-high school, discovered a love for gospel and folk music and met the love of my life, Shane! NC has a special place in both our hearts!

To honor this, we’re hosting a Southern-Style BBQ, also known in the south as a “PIG PICKIN”!…

We are encouraged when people ask us: “How’s the adoption going?” or “Where are you at in your adoption process?”!

Usually, these questions are followed with responses like… “We just finished our 2nd fingerprinting!” or “Our dossier documents are now in DC!” or “We just got our I-797 approval for immigration!”… I’ve watched you smile in response to our answers, muster as much excitement as possible, and say, “That’s GREAT!” But we’ve seen the glossed-over expressions in your eyes and know you’re really just thinking “What does it MEAN???”…

Live! With NTV’s Good Life!

Today, my morning began with a visit to the set of NTV’s Good Life! It was SO much fun and I was honored to be a part of their morning! What a great group to start my day with!

A couple weeks ago, I was invited to sing a couple of my original songs, share our family’s adoption journey and let their viewers know about the coffeehouse concert I’ll be doing this Friday at Barista’s Daily Grind!

We’ll be hosting our first fundraising event April 26th, at Barista’s Daily Grind in Kearney, from 6:30-8:30pm! This event is special because it incorporates two longtime loves of mine: songwriting and relationships!
